Local Sites

     Aspectuck Land Trust - Covering Easton, Fairfield, Weston, and Westport, the Aspetuck Land
             Trust is one of the first Land Trusts in CT.
     Norwalk River Watershed Association - Envisioning a restored Norwalk River.
     Town of Wilton - Official site for the Town of Wilton, especially a calendar of events and the
             Conservation Commission.
     Wilton Library - Great source for research on many subjects.


Regional and State Sites

     State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection - Dedicate to conservation within
             the State of Connecticut.
     University of Connecticut Center for Geographic Information and Analysis - A great source for
             topographic maps and other sources for Connecticut geographical information.
     Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering - is a center of excellence in pure and
             applied environmental sciences and engineering within the University of Connecticut.


National and General Conservation Sites

     National Audubon Society - Audubon's mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems,
            focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the
            earths biological diversity.
     Land Trust Alliance - A great source to learn further about land trusts across the United States.
     The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics - is a national non-profit organization dedicated
            to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and
            partnerships.
     The Nature Conservancy - "Saving the Last Great Places on Earth". A site dedicated to
            conservation. See especially the pages about Devils Den in Weston CT. Additionally there is
            also additional Land Trust resources found within the site, see Land Trust Service Bureau.
     Reading the Landscape - A great site that outlines the book of the same title by May Theilgaard
            Watts who has written a wonderful book intended for anyone who wants to see more and
            understand more in the landscape around us.
     Trout Unlimited - Conserving, protecting and restoring North Americas cold water fisheries.
     Trust for Public Land - Is the only national nonprofit working exclusively to protect land for
            human enjoyment and well being. 
     US Geological Survey - Federal source for science about the Earth, its natural and living
            resources, natural hazards, and the environment.
